Meet Our Team

Annette Heinecke, Executive Director

Annette Heinecke is interim executive director. Heinecke has a Master’s degree in Education from Quincy University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She most recently has served as Director of Care Coordination for Memorial Hospital and Clinics. Prior to coming to Memorial Hospital, Heinecke served as admissions director for Montebello Health Care Center in Hamilton and was the Director of Residential Services at Chaddock. 


Haley Edwards, BSW, LEJA,  Administrative Assistant, Hancock Village

Haley is a native of Nauvoo, Illinois. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work at Quincy University in 2009 and her Master of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University in 2011. Haley has worked with disabled adults and has been the programming director for a long term care facility prior to joining Hancock Village. She enjoys helping others and has a great appreciation and respect for the leadership, team and culture at Hancock Village. She loves to organize things and spend time with her family and is a self-professed homebody. Haley is married and she and her husband have four children.

Colleen Ewing, B.S., Wellness Coordinator, Hancock Village

Colleen is a native of Hamilton, Illinois. She began her work at Hancock Village in 2015 as a Universal Worker and has used those experiences as the foundation for her work in developing programming specific to the senior population at Hancock Village. She is passionate about ensuring seniors has opportunities every day to enrich their lives through education, physical activities, intellectually stimulating experiences and having fun with others. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology from Quincy University and is a Certified Alzheimer’s Support Group Facilitator through the Alzheimer’s Association, Certified in Healing Touch, Certified Activity Director and Certified as a Special Care Unit Coordinator through Healthcare Management Solutions. Colleen has always had a passion for geriatrics and many of her undergraduate courses at Quincy University focused on geriatric issues. Colleen says, “The relationships you can build with residents and the opportunity to really get to know them goes beyond activities. I love the family environment here and the opportunity to further create that sense of family between residents, their families and our team.” Colleen enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being active.

Connie Wright, R.N., Director of Nursing, Hancock Village

Connie is a native of Basco, Illinois.  She has been involved in nursing since 1989 and completed her clinical education at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa.  Throughout her career, her primary clinical focus has been with the geriatric population and she devoted thirty years of her life to working at the Hancock County Nursing Home in Carthage. She is a member of Leading Age of Illinois.  She is married with two grown children and a growing number of grandchildren. She loves trail riding, canoeing, gardening, line dancing and spending time with her family. Connie is often heard to say she gains more than she gives in her ministry with the seniors who choose to make Hancock Village their home.
